Blue Raven Solar

Blue Raven Solar provides power to your home using renewable green energy by capturing the sun’s energy, and converting it into useable electricity.

Typical Solar Designs Will Include:

  • An Array of Solar Panels
  • Electrical Connections
  • Inverter to convert DC to AC
  • Hardware to Connect to the Grid
  • Application to monitor panel performance
  • Battery Storage *Optional

A collection of solar panels, referred to as an array, collects sunlight.

Our panels use micro inverters, not a string inverter. This allows the array of panels to continue to function normally, unlike a string inverter, even if a panel were to malfunction.

If we used a string inverter, an array would act much like a string of christmas lights. If any panel where to malfuction, the entire array would be disabled.

Installing a solar system on your home adds equity in your home, reduces or eliminates dependance on your utility company, and provides you with clean energy.

Blue Raven Solar invests a great deal of knowledge to insure the optimal design in order to provide the perfect installation.

A shade report is generated using a minimum of 10 years of light data. We compare the geolacation of your property with this data as well as a L.I.D.A.R. generated model of the home, to determine which areas receive the most useable light.

Once the shade report is generated, we look at the homes annual power consumption. This is done by looking at your utility bill. This allows us to calculate the amount of power needed. From this data, a design is generated based on the light available and the various panel options on the market.

The design will show the number of panels needed, the layout and location of the panels, as well as the amount of power produced. (the offset)

Blue Raven Solar installs using a roof mount system. Multiple arrays, as well as connections made to the home and grid, are connected via conduit. These connections are ran through the attic as much as possible, rather then on the exterior or the home. This reduces the number of penetrations as well as reducing the potential failure rate. This also has a better over all general appearance.

A common misconception amongst people, when considering solar is, going "off Grid".

Blue Raven Solar works with your current utility provider.

If you want to go off grid, you will need to install a battery back up, as well as find an alternate source for natural gas. This CAN be done, but is not neccesarry. By staying connected to the grid, your utility company will act as the battery, and a bank by buying any excess or unused power produced.

Anytime there is light, your system will produce energy. Daylight Hours produce the entirety of your power. In fact, your solar array is designed to out produce your daily needs. The excess power is sold back to the power company during the day. During evening Hours, the banked power produced during the daytime, will be returned to you.

Any additional power required that has not been supplied by your solar system is commonly referred to as the offset.

This entire process of buying and selling the power produced, by your solar system, is refrred to as NET METERING.

What maintenance will be required with your solar system?

Blue Raven Solar systems require no maintenance from you.

The main reason your system is maintenance free, is the simple fact that there are no movingparts. In addition to this, we have certain design restrictions to prevent any required maintenance. For example, when installing a solar system, the panels are installed with a minimum pitch of 10 degrees and a maximum pitch of 55 degrees.

An array under 10 degrees would be prone to debris buildup, and an array with to great a pitch would not receive the appropriate amount of light.

Blue Raven Solar systems have less then a 1% failure rate.

Everyone is professionally trained, from the person knocking on your door all the way up to the master electrician, and all the work is done by in house employees.

This attention to detail allows us to offer the best warranties on the market.

When considering solar power, many people view this like an investment, with the expectation of an R.O.I. being the primary focus.

If viewing solar power as an alternate option to an expense you already have, it makes sense.

Then, you can compare the money you are already spending on power, to the savings obtained.

Ask yourself these 3 simple questions.

  • 1. Why did you choose your current power provider?
  • “I didn’t have a choice where I get power.”
  • 2. When do you plan on discontinuing the use of electricity?
  • “I will never turn my power off.”
  • 3. How did you determine the amount you are charged for power?
  • “I have no control over how much I pay.”

Translation: You are already in a lifelong contract, with a company you didn't choose, that raises the rates whenever they want.

How do you feel about that?
